What Is YPO?

YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) is the world’s premier leadership community for chief executives, united by the belief that the world needs better leaders. Founded in 1950, YPO includes more than 35,000 members across 140+ countries — each of whom became the top executive in their business before the age of 45.

Through peer learning, once‑in‑a‑lifetime experiences, and an inclusive, trusted community, YPO empowers its members to grow as leaders and as individuals. Today, YPO member‑led companies span every major industry and collectively generate over $9 trillion USD in annual revenue, making a profound impact on business and beyond.

About Our Chapter

Founded in 1988, Lone Star YPO is one of Texas’s premier YPO chapters, known for delivering exceptional, “only‑in‑YPO” experiences to a thriving community of 100 dynamic leaders. Lone Star distinguishes itself by fostering a culture of high engagement — members are expected to attend at least 50% of events annually, including two mandatory signature events.

Forum, one of the most impactful aspects of the YPO experience, is strongly encouraged, with nearly all chapter members actively participating. With a close‑knit relationship with its Gold chapter, Lone Star Gold, members enjoy deep connections, high‑impact learning, and unforgettable shared experiences.

Membership Criteria

What does it take to join Lone Star YPO?

Lone Star YPO follows the same guidelines as YPO International.  Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Criteria #1:

Candidate Age

Candidates must be under 45 years old.

Criteria #2:

Candidate Title

Candidate must hold the title of President, CEO, Chairperson of the Board, Managing Director, Managing Partner, or other top position.

Criteria #3:

Business Size

50+ full-time employees
or
15+ full-time employees with an annual employee compensation of $2,500,000 USD or more.

Criteria #4:

Revenue by Company Type

Sales, Service & Manufacturing

Revenue must meet or exceed $15,000,000 USD.

Agency

Revenue must meet or exceed $12,000,000 USD.

Financial Institution

AUM must meet or exceed $300,000,000 USD.

OR

Enterprise Value

must meet or exceed $25,000,000 USD.
